Taffa Loves Juizy Woozy!

Hi again all! Today I will be reviewing 3 items from Indonesian clothing brand Juizy Woozy that they were kind enough to send to me! I love these clothes because they're heavily influenced by cartoon styles, food, and Japanese kawaii culture. What more could a Taffa ask for?
First off, the staff I spoke to was really nice and sweet and got the package to me super fast! I'm not used to packages arriving within 3 or 4 days so it was a really pleasant surprise for me!

First item: Usagi bag

I wanted to get my hands on the bunny bag because it reminded me of Swimmers bunny bag that came out in 2011- super quirky and super cute. I like big bags that I can fit make up, my big headphones, and my Nintendo DS into- and this bag does that! For it being well-made, super cute, and spacious I give it
(missing a star for the stain on the inside)
I also like how the white is pearlescent- adds a little something extra that canvas or cotton couldn't.
I'm really looking forward to coordinating this bag with both all white outfits as well as colourful ones.

Second item: Ice cream top (free-size)

Check out my wings!! This is actually two tops, a singlet and the jumper top. The yellow top is thin, thinner than a normal t-shirt, which makes it good to wear alone in summer or layer in winter. I am wearing it over a dress without the singlet underneath.
Both pieces are soft and the design is crazy adorable. I want a cartoon about my life drawn in this style!

The third item I received was a surprise! I did not choose this top but I totally love it- how do you know me so well Juizy Woozy! Pink, cherries, bows, glitter- you can't go wrong.
I don't know how I feel about the back of the top looking like a shirt a 7 year old boy should be wearing, though. Some people might like it but it's not really my style. I'll probably wear jackets with this top a lot.

I totally wish the cow logo on the tag was a peel sticker. I may have spent a good 10 minutes trying to peel it off the cardboard so I could have a super cute cow on my laptop.

If you want some of these super cute clothes (and I'm sure you do) head to Juizy Woozy's facebook page and have a look at what else they have to offer! There are hooded tops, custom painted shoes, charm bracelets and more for you to sink your sweet tooth into.

Til next!

A Day At The Rock'n'Roll Markets!

Yo yo yo what is up blogspot!!

Today I went to the Sydney Rock'n'Roll Alternative Markets for the second time ever, with my best friend Bonnie and fiance Adam. Just like last time I went, I had a super great time, bought lots of great stuff and met lots of cool and creative people!
My favourite stall as always is Cutie Pop Creations / Sutairus shared stall.

Bonnie and I with Katie and Tamara, owners of Sutairu and CPC respectively.

Not only are these two girls super sweet, but their designs and creations are to die for. Sutairu specialises in 'ethereal with an edge', with products ranging from flower crowns to slime covered hoop earrings. Check out their instagram!
CPC on the other hand delivers pure tooth ache kawaii in the form of resin necklaces, earrings and rings with yummy sprinkles and/or glitter inside! Tamara also has a tonne of adorable bows, cufflinks and coinpurses to sink your sweet tooth into. Check out her webstore! Tamara is always super sweet and all of the items I own from her are super durable as well as gosh darn cute to boot.

I love you Cutie Pop Creations!!

After catching up with Katie and Tamara (and nipping some goodies for ourselves) we checked out what the other stalls had on offer. As to be expected there was a lot of vintage clothing, rockabilly style goods such as 50's style dresses and cardigans, and even comic books. I was not, however, expecting to find a nail artist!

The first thing Aubrey from Quirky Nails said to me was 'You look like you came from a cartoon.' Already excited from the smell of nail varnish, I enthusiastically replied: 'I am!'
After chatting for a while about everything from Japanese nail salons we wish we could visit to My Melody and Little Twin Stars I decided I wanted two little cupcakes painted on my ring fingers. Aubrey was super fun to talk to and she's extremely talented!

My new (and old) CPC rings and my fresh 'Quirkified' nails!

I was totally over the moon at this point. Sparkles, cupcakes, nail art! How could this possibly get any better for me?
A make up stall full of My Little Pony dolls and Cupies. That's how.

I wanted to speak to Emma-lee of The Makeup Wardrobe practically the entire day, but every time I passed her stall she was in the middle of doing someones makeup! I finally got to chat to her just before I left  the markets and it was worth the wait. We had a lot in common and I'm looking forward to visiting her store/studio in Newtown! She told me it 'looked like Harajuku had thrown up on it' and I was sold from thereon in.

The Makeup Wardrobe stocks Lime Crime products, as well as various make up and costume goods including eye contacts, hair dye and fake blood.

All in all it was a super fun day and the stalls had something for everyone- band posters, clothing, art, shoes, food, books, hair products... the list goes on! If you live in Sydney I would definitely recommend attending these markets even if you don't think you're that into alternative or rockabilly things. Entry is only $5 and you're bound to find something super cool- and one of a kind!

I'm happily exhausted now so I'm gonna get into bed with a movie. Probably a 90's cheerleader one knowing me.
PS, have you guys been keeping up with the winter olympics? I suddenly care about them because there's a super cute snowboarder called Yuki Kadono there. He's so smiley!

Oh my gosh!

Woah, what is up blogspot! As usual it's been ages~ I just felt like updating the theme of this blog a bit today (new background and sidebar image) even though I barely use it... hohoho.
What's new since I last checked in?
My hair is pink now! A nice deep berry pink, which I think hits off the pastels I wear quite nicely.
Adam and I had our 3 year anniversary earlier this month too!
Other than that I don't think there's any massive news.. so here are some things I've bought lately.

Rilakkuma and My Melody taking over my life...
Places I'm most active these days are tumblr and instagram.

Hope you've all been well!

Hello again~

First time blogging in 8 months! I kind of come and go with this blog, don't I? Once again, not making any promises about the return being permanent..

What I wore yesterday.

IOM by taffakitty

I bought the Katie 'Angel' hairclip at a little store in the city called Dazzling Lolita. I've totally fallen in love with the store (full of pink creepers, winged purses and frilly skirts!) and can't wait to go back to it this weekend.
It's actually getting warm in Australia despite it apparently being winter so I was actually a little hot in this outfit.

Purchases of the day were a purple heart pillow ($2), gingham pajama shorts ($2), a pisces 'mermaid' rilakkuma plush ($29) and two Block B keychains ($5).

I need to fix up this blog a little.. the little drawing of me on the side is totally outdated, heh. Not sure yet if I want another little chibi or to just use a photo.

Til next time, whenever that may be!
